Bow Wows BarnYard
The goal of BowWOWs Barnyard is to create an organic, humane, self-sufficient lifestyle. To grow and raise much of what we eat and to offer the excess to our customers to help defer the costs. The orchard and gardens are currently being developed to provide fresh, organic produce. Chickens will soon be laying eggs. A rabbitry has been started for pets and meat. Upcoming projects include dairy goats for fresh milk, cheese, and yogurt. Finally (for now), bee hives for honey. As my little hobby farm grows, offspring will be produced for consumption. While I cannot kill what I raise, I intend to swap with another small farmer for what I do consume. As a meat eater myself, I'd prefer to know that the animal that sacrificed it's life was raised with compassionate care.
For me, it's spiritual; to work hand in hand with God to grow and nurture that which sustains me. Feeding body and soul.
